Our family vacation recap in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This was our first time in Cabo, and let me say it was beautiful! It is located on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. I have wanted to visit Cabo for several years, and this was the year. I shared on my IG and FB stories and received so many questions that I knew I had to write a blog post with all the information.
Now that I have three teenagers, traveling has become much easier. I am absolutely loving this age and stage of our lives. I can hardly believe I have three teenagers, which happened in the blink of an eye.
Where we Stayed in Cabo
We stayed at a private home located in a gated community. The view is spectacular! It has a private pool and hot tub with a view of the Sea of Cortez. The owner of the house, Mark, was fantastic to work with. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh Margaritas and our private concierge, Jon.
The house has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. It also has a rooftop terrace, a courtyard with a fireplace, and a bar. The house is beautiful! It’s perfect for families or a group of friends. It was a 10 out of a 10.
Through out the stay if we needed anything our private concierge, Jon was just a text away.
The Best View
We went to the rooftop terrace each evening for our golden hour family photo. You can see more videos on my Instagram Highlights. The view is spectacular, and it never gets old.

White Dress Outfit for Cabo
On a side note, this is one of the things I packed for Cabo. It’s the perfect white dress paired with kitten bow heels. I packed a sweater to drape over my shoulders because it did cool off with a slight breeze at night.

Transportation
From and to the Airport
We flew into Cabo Airport. Once we arrived, Mark arranged transportation for us. The service is called Cabo Seasons. We booked a limo because why not?! Also, I thought the kids would love it. It took about 30 minutes to get from the airport to our rental house. There was a complimentary cooler inside the limo with bottled water and beer. We also used the same service to get back to the airport.
Traveling in Cabo
Our concierge set up some of our transportation with a private driver several times. Other times, we used an Uber. It was very easy and had no problems with getting to any of our destations.
Private Chef
We had a private chef make some of our dinners while in Cabo. Chef Estrella cooked three different dinners for us, and everything was excellent! I highly recommend using her! You can set this service up once you book this home with your concierge. I can’t begin to tell you how much stress this took off of ME! I am the mom and the planner. Everyone else is on for the ride. So, I did my best to ensure we were covered daily for lunch and dinner. Hiring a private chef meant I didn’t have to think about dinner or where to go. We were on vacation, and I wanted it to feel that way for everyone, including me.
On the first day, upon arriving, Chef Esterlla served a family-style authentic Mexican meal. It’s the best Mexican food I have ever had. We were starving after traveling all day, and a homecooked meal was exactly what we needed.
Groceries
We had our concierge pick up some groceries before arriving, so we would not have to worry about that. This was just one less thing we would have to do. We ordered bottled water, fresh fruit, lunch meat, chips, coffee and bagels. Just a small amount of things to snack on. There is a Walmart in Cabo and a grocery store so you can go and do your own shopping if you desire. You can also use GrubHub, which we did the day before we left because we ran out of bottled water.
Restaurants in Cabo
I booked a few restaurants ahead of time through their websites or Open Table. There are many places to eat in Cabo, but here is where we went.
El Farallon
This restaurant sits on a cliff overlooking the private views of the Pacific Ocean. The waves crash along the rocks, and it is magical. We were even sprayed by the waves a few times. Our reservation were not until 8 pm, so seeing the full view was very difficult because it was already dark. It was windy and cool being on a cliff, but the restaurant provided afghans to cover up with. This was such a nice touch. I would love to return during sunset to take in more of the view. This restaurant served a five-course meal, and I would say that it is a much better place for adults. The portions are small, and it is expensive with a limited menu. However, the experience was worth it. Being my kids are teenagers they enjoyed it just as we did. The restaurant is located in a beautiful resort.
Craft
Craft is a rooftop restaurant with gorgeous ocean views overlooking El Medano Beach. At 9:30, they had an impressive fireworks display. They serve steak and seafood. The octopus appetizer was my favorite. The service was outstanding! I completely forgot to take a group picture at the restaurant. I didn’t even take any photos of our food. That’s how much fun we had. The family picture below is one I took before heading to the restaurant on the rooftop of the house we stayed at. I am glad I at least got that one.

Flora Farms
We visited Flora Farms and had lunch at Flora’s Field Kitchen. Flora Farms is located in San Jose del Cabo, It is on a 10-acre working farm that grows all the food used in the restaurants on the property. The outdoor atmosphere is fun and inviting. I had the best Lavender Martini. Seriously a must try!

The Office
This restaurant is located right on the beach in the heart of Cabo. We went there for lunch and had excellent service. The food was good, but it was more like bar food. The drinks are fun, and you truly feel like you are in Mexico. It is a big tourist attraction. It’s a must see in Cabo.
Activites we did in Cabo
There are many activities to do in Cabo, like sunset cruises, snorkeling, riding camels, and renting ATVs. The list goes on. Here is what we decided to do:
Yacht
Our first activity was renting a private yacht (that is how they refer to it) to see the famous arch in Cabo, snorkel, and paddleboard. It was a three-hour rental, and we were served a light lunch, drinks, and water. It was amazing! The 45-foot yacht had an inside cabin, two bathrooms, a small room, and a seating area. I was worried three hours wouldn’t be long enough, but it was perfect. Our boat driver and attendant were very accommodating and made this experience unforgettable. We arranged for the company to pick us up and return to our house rental. The entire experience was professional, and we did not have to think about anything. That is what vacation is all about, am I right? I highly recommend doing this.
The Arch of Cabo is a must-see! It is one of Los Cabos’s symbols. It sits between the meeting point of the Sea of Cortes and the Pacific Ocean. It’s breathtaking, and I am so glad we could see it up close.
Jet Ski Rental
We decided to rent jet skis, and the kids loved it. Honestly, the best part about it for me was getting videos and photos that the place we booked through offered. Of course, I bought both things. I am always behind the camera, taking pictures and videos of my family. I rarely get to be in a video or photo unless I take it of myself. It captured memories I wouldn’t otherwise have had.
The views were gorgeous, and my ride solo felt like an escape. I wanted to keep going and enjoy the freedom I felt. However, I was scared to lose the shoreline from where we started. Leave it to me to be the one who gets lost at sea. Okay, I am being a little dramatic, but you hear me.
Family Time with a Perfect View
We spent every evening no matter how late it was in the pool and hot tub. Having our own private pool to swim and hang out in with privacy was something we all loved, not to mention the view!
I even had a chance to start a new book, which I love! If you are looking for a good book especially while on vacation, I highly recommend this one.
This is probably my favorite family vacation so far! The memories we made are ones I can honestly say I will cherish. I will definitely be planning another trip to Cabo.
I hope this helps if you are looking to plan a vacation to Cabo. Let me know if you have ever been or if you are planning a trip.
